About Me

Rachael Calmas is a communications and social media strategist specializing in the hospitality industry and is currently a Senior Account Executive at First Press Public Relations, where she works with brands such as Breville as well as chefs and restaurants, including Emma Bengtsson from the two Michelin starred, Aquavit New York.

Prior to joining First Press, Rachael worked for four years in a variety of marketing and operations functions at leading restaurant groups in New York and Boston including Union Square Hospitality Group and The Dinex Group. 

As a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University with a dual degree in Public Relations and Marketing, Rachael has expertise in media relations, brand strategy, multi-media storytelling and design.
